Sri Lanka Next Generation (SLNG) is a community based Internet initiative and an ICANN recognized At-Large Structure (ALS) representing Internet end users in Sri Lanka. We bring together students, young professionals, researchers and technology enthusiasts to learn, lead and shape the future of the Internet.
Our purpose is to build a knowledgeable, inclusive and empowered Sri Lankan Internet community — developing future leaders through education, mentorship, fellowships and networking. From workshops and camps to policy conversations, we create spaces where the next generation can grow.
As a member of the Asian, Australasian and Pacific Islands Regional At-Large Organization (APRALO), SLNG connects the local community to the global multi-stakeholder ecosystem — including ICANN, APNIC and the Asia Pacific Next Generation (APNG).
SLNG is a nonprofit that operates transparently — accountable to its members and to the global Internet community it is part of.

Governed by an executive committee elected by its membership — never by any single individual.
Our governance and conduct are set out in a ByLaw that anyone in the community can read.

Sri Lanka Next Generation (SLNG) is a community based initiative and an ICANN recognized At-Large Structure (ALS) representing Internet end users in Sri Lanka. We empower students, young professionals, researchers and technology enthusiasts.
An At-Large Structure is a community group recognized by ICANN to represent the interests of individual Internet users. SLNG has held ALS status since 2015 and is a member of APRALO, the regional At-Large organization for Asia, Australasia and the Pacific Islands.
Anyone interested in the Internet — students, young professionals, researchers and technology enthusiasts across Sri Lanka. You can take part in workshops, apply for fellowships, volunteer, or join the Next Generation Leaders program.
We run training and workshops, technical and policy discussions, network security trainings, IPv6 programs, Safer Internet initiatives, ICT career guidance, APNG local camps and the flagship Next Generation Leaders (NGL) program.
